Code of Conduct

Play fair. Play hard. Play together.

South Bay FC is committed to fostering a positive, inclusive, and respectful street soccer environment for players of all ages and skill levels. By participating in our games, all players agree to uphold the following principles:

🤝 1. Respect for the Game & Players

  • Treat all players, referees, and spectators with respect, regardless of skill level, age, or background.
  • Play with integrity — no cheating, diving, or intentional fouls.
  • Accept referee and game decisions gracefully, even when you disagree.
  • Use positive and encouraging language at all times.

🛡️ 2. Safety & Fair Play

  • Prioritize the safety of yourself and others. Avoid reckless or dangerous play.
  • No slide tackles unless specified by the game rules.
  • Report any injuries immediately and support injured players.
  • Wear appropriate footwear and gear for the playing surface.

🌍 3. Inclusive & Welcoming Environment

  • Street soccer is for everyone. Discrimination based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or ability will not be tolerated.
  • Welcome new players and help them feel included in the community.
  • Encourage development and learning — everyone is at a different stage in their journey.

⚽ 4. Game Flow & Self-Officiation

  • In self-officiated games, call fouls honestly and resolve disputes calmly.
  • Keep the game moving — avoid excessive stalling or time-wasting.
  • Respect the format and rules of each session (e.g., small-sided rules, rotating subs).

🏠 5. Community Responsibility

  • Leave the playing area clean and in good condition.
  • Respect the property and rules of the venues we use.
  • Represent South Bay FC positively in all interactions, on and off the field.

🚫 Zero Tolerance Policy

South Bay FC has a zero-tolerance policy for violence, verbal abuse, bullying, and any form of harassment. Violations may result in immediate removal from the session and potential suspension from future events. We are committed to keeping our community safe, fun, and respectful for all.
